Description
Thanks to this walking tour, you will discover the amazing History of the oldest quarter of Paris, "Le Marais", a village in the heart of Paris, and wander about the narrow streets and its town houses.
You could be surprised by unusual sites! From "Place des Vosges" and its elegant hotels and inner streets with secret doorways, where Victor Hugo wrote his most famous plays; Marie Tudor and Ruy Blas for instance. You will go through Saint Paul Quarter and discover many other treasures: the only one Jesuit Church of Paris, but also a place where a French kings palace became secretly an antique dealers village. An impressive fragment of medieval walls dated from Philip-August can be added to these hidden treasures. Finally, you will be charmed by Saint Louis Island and its famous Berthillon ice-creams.
