Nice is a city in the south-east of France, in the Alpes-Maritimes department. Four million tourists flock there every year to enjoy the delights of the Côte d’Azur on the Mediterranean coast.

Down by the port is Le Vieux Nice, the oldest part of the city with its baroque style, its palaces, its streets and colourful façades... not to mention its quaint old shops, the galleries and the extremely lively nightlife.

Then there’s the Nice Carnival, one of the biggest in the world, which takes place every February and lasts for two weeks. Over 1.2 million people attend to see the many events, processions of carnival floats and the famous battle of the 100,000 and more flowers...
