Tour & Champagne tasting at Taittinger.*
Located in the major regions of wine-growing Champagne, the Taittinger vines are planted over 280 hectares, among the ones we find some of the most prestigious appellations. Even if several grape varieties are processed to produce the famous sparkling wines, Taittinger is known for making very fresh and elegant Champagne wines out of Chardonnay. You will surely experience the unique House style during the tasting!
Sightseeing of the city of Reims:
Grandes Maisons de Champagne, Cathedral... Reims has always been a very symbolic city in the History of France. Many kings were crowned within the walls of the 13th-Century cathedral that is now listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage. The colorful stained glass windows, such as the incredibly rich statuary, attest of the eternal splendor of the Gothic construction.
Lunch at your leisure.
On the way to Epernay, you will discover the vineyard along the Marne Valley and you will also “meet” Dom Pérignon, the reputed monk who finalized the process of elaborating Champagne wines. His remains are reverently buried in the former Abbey church of Hautvillers.
Sightseeing of Avenue de Champagne in Epernay
Epernay is commonly known as the "Capital of Champagne". The main street of the town is even more famous: this is where you can find the most prestigious Maisons de Champagne, such as Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouet, Mercier, etc.
Guided tour and tasting at worldwide famous Grande Maison de Champagne Moët & Chandon.*
It didn’t take long before the Moët & Chandon Maison became internationally known: less than 40 years after Claude Möet founded the Maison, in 1743, his sparkling wines were sold everywhere in the world! Since that time, the Moët & Chandon bottles have been regularly opened to celebrate special occasions in France, but not only.
