Discover the movie locations of the Latin Quarter, Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis. Unravel reality and fiction, between cinema and history. Our guides will give you secrets of shooting, anecdotes of films and "gossip" of the most famous actors during their stay in Paris.
Discover Paris in an unusual way! During our walking tour, you will see the real-life locations that inspired popular and universal stories, from the Hunchback of Notre-Dame to The Three Musketeers. The tour begins in the Latin Quarter, a very lively area of Paris. This neighbourhood was home to the famous La Sorbonne University, to the jazz club appreciated by couturier Yves Saint Laurent and the bookstore frequented by the writer Ernest Hemingway. We will then head to the Ile de la Cité, passing in front of the Beaurepaire restaurant where the film ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ was filmed and where the prefecture of Police from the movie ‘Is Paris Burning?’ is located. You will discover the great Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Paris, the flagship monument of the movies ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’, ‘The Three Musketeers’ and ‘A Monster in Paris’. The tour continues all the way up to the Sainte Chapelle church and the Conciergerie (a former prison) where some scenes from ‘Marie-Antoinette’ were filmed.
Afterwards, you will cross the Seine River to get to the picturesque Ile Saint-Louis, where scenes from ‘The Pink Panther‘ and ‘Midnight in Paris’ were shot.
The tour ends on the quays of the Seine where parts from the films ‘An American in Paris’ or ‘Everyone Says I Love You’ took place.
Your guide will share stories about many other films recorded in these districts of Paris, and why Hollywood directors like it so much here!
Here are some other movie sets that you will visit during this guided tour of Paris: ‘Ratatouille’, ‘Before Sunset’, ‘Julie & Julia’, ‘Safehouse’, ‘The Bourne Identity’, ‘James Bond’ movies and many more.
