  • Description

Join a nighttime 3-hour walking tour set against some of Paris’ most beautifully illuminated monuments.  Your expert guide will take you in a world of conspiracy, assassinations, ghosts, mystery and intrigue. You will hear about Paris darkest secrets that have remained buried for centuries: medieval murders, curses and prophecies, the violent death of King Henri IV, the macabre origins of the Catacombs and even the legend of the Holy Grail. Enjoy all of this against a perfect backdrop, as you’ll walk by the Conciergerie, Place Dauphine, Pont Neuf, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and more.

You will meet our guide “Localers” outside the “Cité” metro station in the Ile de la Cité as the sunset appears in the sky. In front of the Conciergerie, an ancient medieval prison, you guide will start the tour by telling you about France’s most shameful murder and the dreadful details of his public execution.

You will continue towards Place Dauphine and Pont Neuf where you will be immersed into a world of famine, murder, royal mistresses, the dark legend of the Knights Templar and the Holy Grail. You will then hear about creepy anecdotes of the Royal Palace of the Louvre while you watch the illuminated glass pyramid of the museum. You will be captivated by the Parisian ghost stories the guide will narrate and by the most frightening serial killer tales.

First, the guide was excellent! She did a wonderful job weaving together the stories that make up these pieces of Paris history. I would highly recommend taking this tour.

The tour was very interesting if you are looking for a special part of Paris history. Our guide Anna was amazing with great knowledge and amazing story teller skills. Despite the bad weather the tour was an excellent option. Unfortunately part of the group was not at all interested or prepare for this type of information and therefore I think the tour can be a hit and miss depending of the level of education and knowledge of the group. We hand an Australian family, perfect example for what I like to call "douchebag"; they came with electric bicycles to do the tour just because they got free minutes as a bonus...!!!!!!!...for a walking tour...!!!!!! No education, no background and no interest for the amazing Anna's stories. Fortunately the guide and the rest of the group manage to calm down the "fun spirit" (one of them was detonating crackers in a town over-stressed by terrorists). For sure the tour can includes more stories or the guide can adapt the level of information to the general level of the group.Anna was amazing and a great partner to discuss with the "rois maudits" period.

It was a small group of four other attendies, so you had a chance to ask lots of questions. The tour guide had lots of knowledge as well and told us very interesting stories about Paris in very good English which made you understand the history of Paris in a different way.
