On June 6, 1944, known as "D Day", the Allies opened a new front in Europe against the troops of the 3rd Reich in the Second World War. It was the biggest military operation in history, marking the launch of the Battle of Normandy and leading to the end of the Second World War. More than 150,000 American, British, Canadian and many other nationalities landed by sea and air on various Normandy beaches (Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Juno Beach...), as well as at Pointe du Hoc.

Departure at 7:00 am from the Pullman Hotel in Paris for a comfortable 3-hour drive to the famous D-Day beaches in Normandy.

Pointe du Hoc : A symbol of heroism

The day begins with a visit to Pointe du Hoc, an emblematic site steeped in history. Discover this strategic location, where the courage of American soldiers in 1944 remains etched in the spectacular cliffs overlooking the English Channel. This exceptional panorama is a powerful reminder of the daring and sacrifices made during D-Day.  

Omaha Beach : the place where history was made.  

Immerse yourself in the emotion of walking on the sands of Omaha Beach, one of the major theaters of the Allied landings. You'll feel the intensity of the events that marked these places and measure the scale of the sacrifices made in the name of freedom.  

Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery: A Solemn Tribute 
Continue your journey at the American Cemetery, where thousands of white graves stand in dignified testimony to the bravery of the fallen. This serene setting is an invitation to meditation and reflection.  

Gourmet break with Normandy cuisine  
After these emotionally-charged moments, enjoy lunch in one of the region's typical restaurants. Savor local specialties while sharing your impressions with the group in a convivial atmosphere.  

Two possible final destinations according to the program : Juno Beach or Arromanches.  
  At the end of the day, you will end your journey with one of these two emblematic destinations:  
  - Juno Beach, where Canadian forces played a key role in the liberation of Normandy.  
  - Arromanches, famous for the remains of its artificial harbour, a testament to Allied logistical genius during the battle.
