Embark on a full-day excursion from Paris to the historic D-Day Beaches in Normandy, accompanied by an official guide who will vividly narrate the significance of these sites.

June 6, 1944, famously known as D-Day, witnessed the commencement of a pivotal chapter in World War II as the Allies launched a massive assault against the Third Reich's forces. This monumental operation, heralding the Battle of Normandy, saw over 150,000 soldiers from the United States, Britain, Canada, and other nations landing via sea and air on various beaches along the Normandy coastline, including Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, and Juno Beach, alongside the daunting cliffs of Pointe du Hoc.

Departure from central Paris is at 7 am for an extraordinary day in Normandy. Sit back and relax in an air-conditioned bus as you traverse through the picturesque landscapes of the Normandy countryside.

Your first stop will be at Omaha Beach, where American Rangers stormed the heavily fortified German positions on June 6th, facing formidable artillery emplacements.
Next, pay homage at the renowned St. Laurent American War Cemetery, situated atop the cliffs overlooking Omaha Beach in Colleville-sur-mer. This expansive 70-hectare site, adorned with 9,387 pristine white marble headstones meticulously arranged on a verdant lawn, stands as a solemn tribute to the American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Battle of Normandy. It's one of the 25 permanent U.S. burial grounds abroad, featuring a memorial, chapel, and the Garden of the Missing.

Following this, make a stop at Arromanches, a historic site renowned for its artificial harbor constructed as part of the Normandy landings, facilitating the unloading of crucial supplies totaling 9,000 tons on D-Day. Today, remnants of the floating reinforced concrete caissons, known as "Phoenix," still dot the landscape.
Here, take a leisurely break and indulge in lunch at a local crêperie, savoring regional specialties amidst the historic ambiance (2 crêpes and a bowl of cider).

Your final destination is near Juno Beach, another significant landing site on June 6, 1944, by Canadian forces. Pay your respects at the Juno Beach Centre and cemetery before bidding adieu to Normandy.
Expect to return to Paris around 8 pm, concluding a day filled with poignant history and breathtaking landscapes.
