This tour of Montmartre will introduce you to a lively and atypical quarter, considered as a real village inside the capital. Our guide will take you through its narrow streets enhancing their bucolic charm. He will tell you many anecdotes about the artists' lives, like Charles Aznavour did in his song "La Bohème". You will also visit the majestic Basilica of the Sacré Coeur on your own.
You will go on your own to our Paris City Vision Montmartre kiosk located at the Anvers metro exit and meet our guide. You will then leave for a two-hour walk through the Montmartre district. The guided walk begins with a very lively street animated by shopkeepers and street games. You will arrive at the bottom of the Butte Montmartre and enjoy the view of the Sacré Coeur Basilica overlooking the hill. You will take the funicular (metro) to get to the top.
Our guide will give you a few minutes to enter the Sacré Coeur Basilica . As an indisputable site of worship in Paris, the Sacré Cœur is still today a place of pilgrimage and recollection for Christians. As you enter this religious building, where silence is the rule, you will feel the soothing and very special atmosphere that emanates from it.

You will then walk through the steep and more or less alive streets. You will follow our guide through its historical comments and unusual anecdotes in this district so much appreciated by artists of the past and Parisians of today. You will wander through the streets and discover the famous Place du Tertre where portrait and caricature artists exhibit their works and paint in the open air, away from the noises of Paris' hectic life. You will pass in front of the famous Lapin Agile, a cabaret still popular where many talents emerge in an old-fashioned atmosphere and style. Our guide will show you the favorite places of great artists such as Renoir, Dali, Picasso and many others. You will take the typical paved dead end of Léandre Villa with its entirely pedestrian access and its pretty little houses in the Anglo-Saxon style. You will pass in front of the Moulin de la Galette which was transformed into a Guinguette where people from Montmartre love dancing. You will see one of the few gardens in the quarter and the famous vineyards of Montmartre. As you walk along, you will meet the Parisians strolling through the streets and terraces of the bohemian cafés in the quarter.
Our guide will take you to the Moulin Rouge located at the bottom of Montmartre as he tells you the history of the area.
