Meet your guide at the Maison Divia in Place Darcy (400 metres from Dijon station) to begin the tour at 1.30pm.
Head into the outstanding Côte de Nuits vineyards, where you will delve into quaint winemaking villages, medieval architecture, churches and impressive castles.
On route stop at a local cellar for a tasting of Great Burgundy Wines. Your guide will introduce you to Pinot Noirs and white wines from the region. Indulge in a savoury choux “gougère” cheese pastry, traditional in Burgundy and perfect to accompany your wines!
Travel on through the vineyards to reach the site of the spectacular Château du Clos de Vougeot, set in the heart of the vines. Learn about Burgundy's ancient winegrowing practices and the Cistercian monks who began the tradition. Explore the wine-making facilities built between the 12th and 16th century.
Journey out behind the vineyard hillsides, into the forests and through the blackcurant fields of the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Continue through the Ouche valley, with its country landscapes and along the 18th century Burgundy canal.
